The sunrays danced across my lap.
Shadows of lace waltzed to a tune by a silent symphony.
My lap and the floor at my feet were the grand ballroom in reception of playful morning theatre.
As the sun has shifted in the sky and the alley elms have grown into their own right, they join in concert as a passing artful display.
A high breeze shifts the branches as they sway in harmony.
Like a mandala of sacred design it will soon be gone and the only record will be here in my mind.
It is moments like this that make the day.
It is moments like this that can so easily be missed.
Only in stillness will they be noticed.
When noticed easily discarded by morning agendas.
One needs to be still and allow this moment to become a moment.
Be still and feel the flow of the world speak to you.
This moment is gone.
The sun lifts above my window perspective.
The dance moves along into other venues, sharing its joy in a whisper.
