What do we Share as Humanity? (The Answer may Surprise you) | Steve Beckow

Folks, you’ll have to excuse me. I’m writing/compiling a six-volume series on the Reval and our lightwork. It’s a work of such complexity and my memory is …so very good, but so very short … that I may make errors in chronology when posting. Tomorrow’s article, for example, should have preceded this one. I’ve compensated by locating a copy of it to an earlier date (as noted in the footnotes).

It feels like I’m juggling three balls while playing a ten-piece band.

Meanwhile the hidden war goes on outside…. That’s another matter!

I was discussing adding another meaning to the term “world leader” (1) and the question arose for me: What do we share as humanity?

And my guides inspired in me the thought: It’s not so much that we share a nod or a wink or a smile as that we share the divine qualities.

YES! Why didn’t I think of that?

We share joy. We share peace. We share love. And we share a desire for these states of being.

I’ve been burning my brain out trying to see what I could be talking about that we all share. Behavior? Ideas? Feelings? Objects?

I was thinking anthropologically: Let’s discover behavior that we do together. Let’s discover cultural universals.

And I was getting nowhere and feeling dismayed by the task.

But there was never any need. All of us, if we looked, would probably know that what we already always share is a love for the divine states. And we share the divine states themselves. These are spiritual universals.

I’ll bet that all of us share a love for love. All of us seek it, ask for it from others, give it to others. Our music, our movies are about getting it and losing it.

I offer everyone’s appreciation of and for love as an example of something I consider universal.

Then I realized that I’ve been talking about spiritual universals for the past ten years, without realizing it.

So what does seeing this do to me, for me?

First off, I’m laughing at myself. I spent years laboring over the question what does a writer, writing universally, write about? Smiles and laughter? Nods and winks?

The answer lay not only in front of my nose, but it lay in what I’d been writing about anyways!

I now feel empowered and enabled to speak about higher-dimensional love from the standpoint of knowing that I’m speaking to the whole world. This is a shift in perspective for me.

(Isn’t growth fun? We just keep pushing our edge.)

That transition in consciousness from a “local” writer to a “global” writer was not difficult, in the end. (2) It was just a “get.” And a willingness to occupy and own the thing gotten.

I acknowledge and own the space of a writer writing globally on subjects that are spiritually universal. That looks so obvious, seeing it on paper. But it took tremendous labor to reach this point!
