The Desire for Social Contact in a World with No Lack | Steve Beckow

Years ago, I used to think that lack was created in the world so that we’d all be brought into social contact and relationship.

People need food, clothing, shelter and so they must deal with other people who provide it, usually in exchange for money.

Now I’m not so sure about that view.

Evidently there was no lack in the beginning of Gaia’s life. Earth was a Garden of Eden; all needs and desires were fulfilled; it was a playground for her angels, the Mother has said.

Then some of the angels experimented with behavior that departed from love, we’re told. It brought the Earth down. After that, our DNA was tampered with, our health undermined, and most recently pandemics have been used to depopulate the globe.

So here we are, facing a deep state that wanted to dominate us as a world and depopulate the globe. Serious stuff.

Returning to my original view that lack was created to encourage social contact, an underlying assumption of it is that social contact might not take place if there was no lack to fill. But life on the astral plane shows that that is manifestly not true.

There, they have no need for food, shelter, clothing, etc. What they feel they do need they create for themselves out of their powers of manifestation. Folks over there pursue what they want to pursue yet for many that is social.

Social contact not only remains high in the astral planes; it grows, in the sense that for most it matures into a desire to serve. Service is both encouraged and sought out.

Some serve as guides; some as rescue workers; some as doctors and nurses. Service brings us into contact with others, just as much as need and lack do.

It isn’t a desire for money that moves them either; many are moved by a desire for what they think of as advancement and what we might call Ascension, to a higher realm than they’re in. (1)

Many will have visited the higher realms and have been awed by the superior, sublime experience of love available there. All they want to do is go there permanently. Anyone interested in reading their accounts may want to visit the online wiki, New Maps of Heaven. (2)

Meanwhile, we here on Earth seem to be diving further and further into social isolation. It used to be video games and cellphones; now it’s shop closures, lockdowns, quarantines, border closures, social distancing, masks – all of this is driving us in the direction of less and less social contact (and more and more social control).

But we’ll outlast it. It’ll take some recovery time, I think. Based on my work reparenting myself around some of my surfacing issues, there’ll be a learning curve and a time when the leftover behavior patterns continue to go off.

Our recovery will be as nothing compared to those who’ve endured starvation and mistreatment. But we’ll still need some time to revive ourselves, I believe.

From my observation and study, I venture to suggest that the desire for social contact is persistent and is independent of lack or the absence of lack.

My working hypothesis is that what it is dependent on is the desire for love, which, you may recall, needs to flow.

The desire to experience that love and express it with another is also persistent. To experience love myself, I breathe it in and breathe it out. That way love continues to flow; we experience it as it flows through us.
