RECAPITULATION TECHNIQUE
Old habits and events contain a lot of energy, and this weight constantly outweighs at the beginning of the Path. Using the recapitulation technique, we can extract this energy from there and use it to develop a New Behavior Algorithm.
The key to success is an active life, which provides us with many opportunities to build new ways of interacting with the World.
How does the recapitulation technique work?
The recapitulation technique is a mental work that uses breathing techniques as an anchor.
Remembering traumatic events, we shift our attention to them, as if we grasp the emotional coloring of that event. And with the help of a special energy practice (breathing techniques and head movements), we grasp and extract from the past event the emotional energy embedded in it.
Breathing can be considered both as a powerful energetic factor and as a means of distracting the mind from indulgence.
The energy inherent in the events connected us with the people participating in this event.
When recapitulating, part of the energy is returned to us, and the other part is returned to the participants in the events.
Thus, at the end of the recapitulation, the event becomes for us just a fact, a picture, a slide that does not evoke any emotional reactions.
We simply know about the existence of the event and nothing more.
Excessive thinking about a problem is not recapitulation.
By emotionally remembering events, but without extracting energy from them, we pump them with energy and strengthen them.
To recapitulate properly, we must enter into a meditative state that does not allow the mind to indulge.
It is important for us to achieve a state not of self-pity, but of the ruthlessness of erasing old events.
When we recapitulate a relationship with another person, we take away some of our energy and return some to that person.
Just as when working with karma, the energy connection is dissolved, which can affect the second participant in the event in various ways and he may try to restore the connection (which should be taken into account and monitored).
Recapitulation is best done in a closed, small room.
Castaneda mentioned the size so that “the walls press on the cocoon”... In solitude...
Enter a calm meditative state using any technique known to you.
Additional relaxation is helped by breathing that harmonizes the left and right sides.
Inhale through the right nostril and exhale through the left (men) and vice versa for women for 2-5 minutes.
You can use light finger pressure on your nostrils if you are unable to inhale separately.
Inhaling air is an auxiliary anchor for harmonizing the energy threads of the right and left sides.
The head is on the right shoulder.
Take a deep, drawn-out breath, remembering your state in the recapitulated event and drawing it into this breath (namely the state, and not the fact of the event itself).
As you inhale, gently turn your head toward your left shoulder.
Hold your breath, absorbing all your energy from the event.
Turn your head forward and exhale the energy directly in front of you, feeling the energy returning to you.
Recapitulating an event usually requires some amount of breathing and recollection.
The criterion for a completed work is the absence of emotional involvement in the event.
For you, the event becomes simply a fact.
