While empaths are connected by their unique experiences of emotional sensitivities, the way they initially experience life on Earth is certainly not meant to be where their journey ends or remains.
Just as each empath may find solace and support in knowing they aren’t alone in how deeply they feel, it is intended as an entry point into a new paradigm of human potential.
While you may confuse your feelings with the emotions of others, trigger unprocessed wounds in those around you, get blamed for the feelings that others are invited to face more often, along with the debilitating fear of abandonment that no degree of co-dependency and people-pleasing can soothe, it is not to be confused with how the rest of your life is meant to play out.

While the beginning stages of empathic awareness can be daunting, the journey of honing your empathic skills moves you far beyond patterns of control, confusion, or overwhelm and into new horizons of spiritual embodiment.
I describe these next-level stages as High Functioning Empathy. It is a degree of empathic awareness where instead experiencing your healing journey like Groundhog’s Day, constantly taking on everyone else’s patterning, attracting shadow versions of others, or questioning yourself at nearly every turn, you learn to expand your awareness beyond the limitations of your ego as well as the collective unconscious and in a way that neither dismisses nor disregards the role ego plays in the blossoming of heart-centered consciousness.
In order to move into being a high functioning empath, the key is exploring life at a higher frequency.
