(Golden Age of Gaia)
In my estimation, every credible spiritual teacher has told us that, if we want to have peace without, we have to start with peace within.
At the same time, every credible psychologist has told us that trying to control the other person. is, in the end, fruitless. No sense ploughing that field.
And does our peacefulness ward off trouble? On the contrary. It can make the peaceful one a lightning rod.
Did Gandhi’s peacefulness prevent him from being assassinated? No, it didn’t. Or John F. Kennedy?
My evolution has not gone far enough for me even to appreciate that a person could choose to be a sacrifice soul. Uh, can we change the channel please? Lethargy.
So where’s the entry point? No, don’t tell me the answer. I need to find it for myself. I can’t hear another person right now.
Where’s the entry point?
5 mins. later
I got the same answer today that I got some years ago and had lived by since then until … recently.
She Stoops to Conquer. A comedy by Oliver Goldsmith from 1173. But so true.
She stoops to conquer. That phrase is pregnant. A person could write volumes on it. And others can easily misinterpret it. I think Goldsmith purposely used a word (“stoops”) that could enlighten or offend, revealing the speaker’s own. predilections.,
Humility.
Forbearance.
Regard for others.
Going first….
The divine qualities. Well, obviously that’s the answer.
But I got there on my own, notice. Well, except for a chorus of angels.
Remind me of this. It’ll be overwhelmed by tomorrow’s events. And my short memory.
She stoops to conquer….
