GAoG has not posted poems in the past. However given that Sarah’s poems are so much on topic, it may be time to make some concessions.
Come Home
The candle in the window
And the lamp outside your door
The warm breeze of the sea air
From the long-forgotten shore
The stars of the night
Cast their glow ever more
Come weary traveller of fire flame and storm
Come Home
The flame in your heart
Is the blaze in your soul
The light you now cast, Is one and is whole
All you have lost will now be reclaimed
You are a warrior of light
Come inside put a kettle on the hearth
Many will come and follow your path
Open your door and open it wide
You are the truth you have nothing to hide
All you have been and all you’ve become
Is the light that now shines through your soul
