What Is Meditation?
What is meditation? Meditation is a watchfulness of being present, but slipping more and more out of the mind and into the silence, into that still point within. You do not have to be seated with your eyes closed to meditate. And it is good to practice in that way. But you can meditate while you are washing the dishes or driving your car. Because what is meditation? It is watchfulness, awareness, presence, being in the center as opposed to being in the mind. So, allow meditation to move more and more into your life as you take care of the activities that are part of your life. Start to consciously bring awareness into your daily activities.
