Enlightenment
Being fully awake, enlightened -- whatever label the mind wishes to place on it -- it is strange. You cannot get there by doing, but also if you do nothing, you cannot get there. This one, the Buddha, gave his life to demonstrate this. He worked hard, [trying] all kinds of techniques, searching for different ways to become enlightened. He was very close. He had a high vibration, but still the ego was there. And he was trying so hard to get rid of the ego. Every technique that he had learned about, he threw himself in totally. And then, as you know, one day he just gave up. He probably said, "Fuck it all!" And he sat down underneath a bodhi tree and totally gave up. And in that moment nothing happened. He became no-thing. He became Spirit. It simply dropped into him. He was giving a demonstration. Every master gives a different demonstration to humanity.
