What Is the Difference Between Surrender, Acceptance and Giving Up?
Participant: How can I tell the difference between surrender, acceptance and giving up when I'm depressed?
Prageet: Well, with giving up, you can feel the energy just with the words. Giving up is ,"Okay, I'm powerless. I can't do anything. I give up." And all your energy just dissipates. Acceptance is, "This is how it is and I'm going to flow with that." And it's beautiful. Surrender is slightly different. Surrender is,"Oh, this is something that I don't really want to do, but I can see this is what is right for me to do, and so I will do it.
Jules: The question that I always ask in relation to surrender is, what am I surrendering to? So, the difference for me is within these energy fields, within any kind of expanded experience where there's a sense of Superconsciousness that's present, it's like crackling in the air. It comes with a sense of aliveness. And you're literally surrendering to the Quantum Field versus the [feeling of] depression and giving up.
