Natural Way to Breathe
Most people do not actually breathe in the way that the body is designed. Most of you take very shallow breaths. When you breathe the way the body is designed, the breath goes deep. The belly moves in and out with the breath. What so often happens in life is that the moment comes when you experience a big shock. It happens for all of you. You have all had a big shock at some time. When that happens, the reaction is a shallow breath. And because that shock was impactful, you continue shallow breaths. It is time for each one of you to retrain the way that you breathe so that your belly gently rises and falls as you breathe.
So, bring awareness to how you breathe. Bring awareness to the belly, gently rising and falling. That is the natural way to breathe. And when you start to breathe in that way, it actually starts to reduce the level of stress in your physicality. Breathing in a shallow way actually brings an energy of stress to the physical body, so be aware of this. You can lie in your bed at night and breathe with your hand on the belly and just feel that natural way and just say to yourself, “This is how I breathe. This is how I breathe.” Be aware of it during the day. Just take a moment and breathe with awareness. And at first it might even be a little difficult to breathe in that way. It might feel a little strange, but that is the natural way. That is the way that will help you align more to your physicality.
