(Golden Age of Gaia)

Returning from a road trip recently I am finally getting caught up with some of the news.
Our news. The internet podcasts.
The free thinkers and independent producers.
My kind of people.
On the road I notice gas prices coming down considerably.
This provoked a comment from my college bound son, who recited supply and demand.
I could not help but gently caution that economic theory was not always economic practice.
We left it at that.
Listening to discussion about economic news and the revaluation of currency based upon new alliances or the axis, I realized this news is all based on the global exchange of energy.
Energy as in petroleum based products.
Energy as in oil and gas trading. Energy for travel, heating, manufacturing, shipping.
Well, pretty much everything that operates our lives.
Every country armwrestling with the minds and markets of the world for the almighty drop of oil.
Our dollar, the rubul, the yuan, etc all valued based on petro, the greatest source of dependance our lives operate around.
Then I had a simple thought.
What happens when we resource Free Energy?
What happens when oil is no longer the greatest control mechanism in the global economy?
I am not here to provide answers. I just like asking the questions.
But I did fall asleep with this on my mind.
I am a dreamer. Spirit has given me many answers through the years in this manner.
This morning an answer came in a single image.
A tall beautiful evergreen tree.
I believe it was a green spruce.
If you’re anything like me you probably have a great big HUH? hanging over your head right now.
What in the world does a spruce tree have to do with economics, free energy, oil production and currency re-evaluation?
Spirit does love a good laugh.
I find many messages are filled with simplicity and humor.
I sat with the tree and allowed the message to come through.
Here is my take on it and again not to say I have all the answers, but to stimulate thought for all the free thinkers out there.
Here is a drop of oil to lubricate the brain.
A tree is stationary.
It grows where it is most suited.
It thrives in optimal situations.
It finds its resources locally.
It puts down roots and utilizes those roots for anchoring, water, nutrients and interacting with its environment.
It sends out branches, reaching out from where it stands and developing relationships with the air, the sun and other local culture.
It provides for its environment while living in harmony with it.
Birds, squirrels, deer and wasps all find purpose within its canopy.
The spruce is a sacred tree.
It has its own connection to source and represents spirit.
The spruce tree is representative of peace, happiness and protection.
Some say the Appeal to Heaven flag is a fir or pine. I like to think it is actually a Spruce.
It doesn’t really matter
All trees are sacred.
All trees make up the forest.
Diversity is important among all living creatures.
All Trees provide oxygen for the planet.
If we were to redefine our values I for one would vote for Oxygen as being the most important above and beyond that of oil.
And it is free. It is abundant. We could be better at facilitating it.
With free energy, think of the changes we will be making.
We would be redefining everything that we thought we knew.
We can still utilize oil, gas. We just won’t need it as much. By reducing our dependence it will no longer control us.
As we focus on living locally, we nurture our own environments and learn to be in harmony with that that supports us.
Redefining our values will be an important part of going forward.
Maybe this will be the first step.
Maybe this is how we get the cart to follow the horse.
Adjust the reins that control the horse.
Or in this case, be the seed that grows the tree.
Start by planting the right seeds in the right place.
Then let them flourish.
focus on thy breath
in love and gratitude
