Bravery | Poem by Struction

Submitted to Voyages of Light on December 7, 2022

I wish I was brave enough to ask you... In person? But if I could this is what I would say,

I'd say:

Very seldom in life do we meet,
We engage, interact come together ever. But I don't think we meet. And I would love to meet you. To mute the world just to hear you speak. To move carpets of grass to the side, I know you don't mind...but still. Just because you are approaching. And finally to wrap my arms around a destiny, shapes as a person, looking at a another person. Called names but really they share one face and it is the face of love itself. The world calls you one thing.. but from the crib you've always been my wife, my spouse my all. I've been asking you. Now more then ever. I asked when you came to this morning. I was number one. I asked you before you decided what you would have to eat. This question was the answer...it's always you. I asked you while you were playing with your hair...just twirling it around. With each flip - I was doing the same...on the inside. I ask you every day and in every way. The thought that you may say no...or give not a yes. The silence of doubt is all that speaks inside. And these words...musings from a heart that knows.
