(Golden Age of Gaia)
I’d like to repeat a conversation in which the Divine Mother confirms for me a really basic aspect of Reality.
I do so to underline the fact that we today have unprecedented access to her through numerous mediums.
This has never happened in the history of the world. That alone should be a proof of what is happening. Most things happen behind the veil, but speaking to the Divine Mother is something tangible for us.
With this access, we get to ask the one at the top about the nature of the world we live in. That to me is an unsurpassed opportunity.
I took one opportunity to ask her about a very important aspect of reality – the nature of what Hindus call the conditioned Brahman (also called the personal God and God with form).
We had this conversation thanks to Linda Dillon on An Hour with an Angel, on May 7, 2012.
I asked her how she was known. The Divine Mother answered at length and then asked:
Divine Mother: Does this answer your question, child?
Steve Beckow: Well, I have to ask you one further question, Mother, to make sure that I understand completely what you just said. And I regret that I have to use a little jargon, but I’ll explain to my readers later.
When you use the word “the Father,” are you referring to the conditioned Brahman? …
DM: Many who listen do not understand this or these terms.
SB: Yes, I realize that.
DM: And part of my desire is to make [things] very clear, [so] that people do understand. So, ensure, beloved, that you do make these terms very clear for your readers and listeners.
SB: I will. If you would just confirm for me that you are speaking about the conditioned Brahman rather than the Transcendental Absolute, I can do the rest.
DM: Yes, that is exactly what I am speaking of. (1)
First of all, I almost fall out of my chair each time I realize the significance of what has just been said. If it’s the truth. I’m provisionally accepting it as truth for the (heuristic) value that that brings. I’m happy to be corrected.
All things being equal, the Divine Mother has just acknowledged that we can equate what she (2) calls “the Father” with what Hindus call “the conditioned Brahman,” “the Personal God,” “Shiva” (as opposed to Mahashiva).
How can I explain the significance for me?
I divide phenomena into two lines: a Shiva or Father line and a Shakti or Mother line. One could say a divine male and a divine female, Brahman and Prakriti, voidness and energy, Source and Creator.
The Shiva line is characterized by stillness and silence, transcendentally absolute. One can start at either end of the enlightenment journey – with the realization of the Self in the beginning or the realization of the the One at the “end” – and what we’re referring to is a centerpoint of stillness and silence, awareness and beingness.
Starting with the Self/Child of God, the line of ascent is from Self to Shiva (conditioned Brahman) to Mahashiva (unconditioned Brahman, Transcendental Absolute) to the One and it is a progressive realization of higher and higher levels of stillness, silence, and unknowing.
The Shakti line is movement and sound. In particular, it’s the movement of the Mother’s pattern of creation, preservation, and transformation, which in large measure is done with sound (specifically, Aum).
But above all, it is love, bliss, ecstacy, and exaltation. Without love or bliss, realization is unlikely. The Mother makes possible the Self-Child’s realization of the Father (conditioned Brahman) and eventual merger with the One, the All, the purpose for which life was created.
While this would not happen without them, love, or bliss without realization can be just a good experience. I’m sure it can also be a pathway to union, itself, but I’m not as familiar with the path of love, being only a new arrival on it.
Whatever the case, the two seem to work in tandem to achieve the purpose of life – the final reunion of the Self with the One, the All. From God we came; to God we return.
Let me support the contention that enlightenment is the purpose of life, in a box here.
Heavenly Hosts: [Life] is all just experience to satisfy the Creator’s desire to experience Itself through Its creations. (3)
Source Creator: How would I get to experience Myself if it were not for you?
Before you there was just Me, before the Earth and all the planets and star systems and galaxies and universes there was just Me and only Me. I needed to create. I needed to split apart and individuate so I could know Myself and see Myself and see all the wonders of creation. You are all ME! (4)
Bayazid of Bistun: I went from God to God, until they cried [out] from me in me, ‘O thou I!’ (5)
Sri Ramakrishna: When Siva realizes his own Self, He dances about in joy exclaiming, ‘What am I! What am I!’ (6)
Steve: The Source, the One, wants to know itself. Is that correct?… And it can’t because it’s everything. So it’s taken the aspect of Yourself and designed a universe in order for us to learn our true identities. The moment of Enlightenment is when God meets God. Is that correct?
Divine Mother: That is correct. (7)
In hearing this, we’re listening to descriptions of the moment for which life was created. I cannot think of anything more fundamental than these utterances.
Some people may feel that the Mother/Father metaphor is a sexist view of an eternal reality. We may need to find a better metaphor on the other side of Ascension. But, given that the Divine Mother herself is using it at present, it looks like we’re committed for now.
I imagine she considers it something most humans will understand and relate to.
Take what you like and leave the rest. But moments like this when the Divine Mother confirms a basic element of reality and connects some pretty important dots are moments of great celebration for me.
