I think I’ve gotten into Don Quixote territory now. I’m writing back to the public health authorities who clutter my inbox with alarmist emails about the so-called Delta strain of Covid now purportedly menacing the globe.



These authority figures’ messages can be summed up as: Be afraid. Be very afraid.

My response is along the lines of: Stop spreading misinformation! You are doing a deadly disservice to your community…

Then I trot out the URLs for America’s Frontline Doctors and Dr. Mercola with their well-documented, evidence-based, provable scientific and medical facts about Covid. (1)

I might even include the following excerpt next time. I’m sure there will be more emails; in fact, I’ve already heard from my bank that it once again requires masking up and social distancing “because of the dangerous Delta variant.” (It somewhat sheepishly notes that the restrictions apply to the vaccinated as well as the unvaccinated.)



From “The Delta Lie,” by Dr. Michael Roth, D.C., on the America’s Frontline Doctors site:

“Since mid-March of 2020, I and quite a few other health care providers, with an education in virology and pathology, could actually ‘predict,’ with a high degree of accuracy, the scenario that is currently playing out…The best way [to further the presumed agenda of controlling people] would be to create fear.

“After creating a ‘deadly pandemic’ scare, it was easy to see what would follow: exaggeration of COVID case numbers, falsehoods regarding how the virus spreads, symptoms, number of deaths, and even new mutations/strains/variants, as the novelty of the coronavirus wore off and people started getting more comfortable, less afraid, and [more] ’aware.’

“…It was also easy to predict that they would become desperate for compliance by bribing, threatening, coercing and incentivizing citizens to accept an injection in a way that has never, ever been done in our history. Why are they so desperate to vaccinate people, such as children, who are at nearly zero risk of dying from a flu virus?”



The article continues, explaining how the so-called Delta variant is actually a big fat nothing. The “current data” referred to is documented in the article:

“Essentially nothing happened [with the ‘Delta variant’]—the real world impact of hospitalizations amounts to virtually nothing. This is not an estimate, it’s not projecting, it’s not modeling and it’s not a ‘conspiracy theory.’ This is the real-time current data that is available to everyone. It is empirical proof that the variant doesn’t add up to anything at all.” (2)

Fighting the unbeatable foe, to right the unrightable wrong. Am I dreaming the impossible dream? I don’t think so.

If it was impossible to beat this foe and right this wrong, I doubt I’d be experiencing this mix of sheer disbelief and eye-rolling exasperation. Every atom of my being is screeching, Not AGAIN!



Nobody wants an encore of this tired old Covid show. Why don’t we all get out of our seats, en masse, and empty this theater of the absurd? Leave the main players posturing onstage, projecting to an empty house?

The house—our world—doesn’t have to host this particular roadshow again. After the heartbreak and needless ruination the world has endured because of authorities’ “Covid response measures,” I have to wonder why anyone would willingly obey the dictates of our duly elected (and non-elected) authority figures.

Instead, let’s just say “No” to the whole shebang, as Steve encourages us to do.

I believe we can do it, we citizens of this Earth. I believe in our individual and collective power, strength, and determination, and most of all, our spiritual fortitude.

If those beliefs make me a modern-day Don Quixote, I say, bring on the windmills.
