St. John: Tasting something I dont know

I still find myself unable to read news of the world or watch videos right now. I recommend Telegram as the best current news aggregator.

I’ve had a number of excellent conversations with you about stillpoint. I wanted to mention a few things as a result.

I don’t think I’ll feel able to leave the topic for a little bit yet. While I’m not in Stillpoint continuously, I seem to go in and out of it. My desire for news of the world hasn’t yet returned.

From my very brief experience, for which you were there, (1) Stillpoint showed up for me like Cape Canaveral. It was a staging ground, a launching pad.

In effect we let go of all our attachments to things and events that don’t lead us in the direction of the Divine. Loss upon loss until at last comes rest, Lao Tzu said.

I personally don’t use the word “zero point” because that seems to be associated in people’s minds with Ascension itself and Stillpoint is not Ascension.

Since usage is nine-tenths of the law in language, I’m not going to disturb it.

Stillpoint isn’t any of the 3D enlightenment experiences. It’s the foundation upon which these experiences occur. It’s the prerequisite, the precondition, the prelude to what follows.

Stillpoint is like standing on the ground at Cape Canaveral, in your space suit, waiting to mount the command module, strapped to a booster rocket that won’t go on the whole trip with you.

Houston has prearranged where you’re headed. They just want you to experience it and write about it.

Just as Cape Canaveral was a staging ground for outer-space exploration, (2) so Stillpoint is a staging ground for inner-space exploration.

How high and far I go seems to depend on a lot of factors. The purity and clarity of the spirit seems to be one; the depth of knowledge of love, another; my sense of my own personal strength, a third.

Houston’s plans for the occasion shape everything. What they can’t shape is my experience. (3)

Standing on Cape Canaveral itself is not an experience. In fact you’re all alone out there on the runway. No one for miles. Desolate. It’s sensorily-deprived, so to speak.

So desolate that you say to yourself, “Mom, look where I ended up. I’m not sure it all worked out.”

This state, preliminary to experience and realization, is what St. John really meant by a “dark night of the soul,” not how we’ve interpreted it, as a burdensome challenge with potentially tragic or fatal results.

Out here on the tarmac, with no one around, no sounds, nothing to see, I ask myself: am I making the right choice? How will I get back? (4)

And then, presumably, off we’re launched either into a spiritual experience or an interdimensional jaunt.

Flight control didn’t seem to want me to launch today so they sent someone to knock on my front door at that exact moment and everything shut down.

How did St. John of the Cross put our state at that moment?

“Without a foothold you must seek Him out-
no face nor form, alone –
tasting there something I dont know
that one may come on randomly.” (5)

What he’s saying seems so obvious to me now, having experienced that state.

Without anything to use to discern or decide, without counsel, without perceptions and the evidence of the senses, alone, tasting there something he can’t find words to describe (and wouldn’t if he had), that one comes upon unexpectedly.

So here he was, without a foothold, alone, and then [subsequently, thereafter, separately] he tasted something he can’t describe. Being alone, without a foothold, was a prerequisite; he was at the launch pad; and, when launched, St. John, I think, ascended.

How we get there will depend. Soon the energies will rise to the point where Stillpoint will be like Union Station. We’ll all be there going various places.

I have this vague, undeveloped thought that the ability to be in Stillpoint may turn out to be important, even necessary, for a successful interaction with our star family. That’s an untested hypothesis.

St. John left us a map of Mt. Carmel, the mythical mountain he climbed to reach God at the summit. Here’s that map of Mt. Carmel:



Mt. Carmel is the human body and he is the kundalini travelling up the spine to the crown of the head.

If he ascended, he would have gone beyond the ascent of Mt. Carmel, beyond the Third-Dimensional chakra system, beyond the marriage of Shiva and Shakti in the crown.

(4) We always remain connected by the silver cord. When it snaps, we can no longer re-enter our body and, given the general improvement in our circumstances, we soon forget about it and continue on.
