The Blossoming Time of Year
May 28, 2021
I can see, through the rifts of the apple-boughs,
The delicate blue of the sky,
And the changing clouds with their marvelous tints
That drift so lazily by.
And strange, sweet thoughts sing through my brain,
And Heaven, it seemeth near;
Oh, is it not a rare, sweet time,
The blossoming time of the year?
~Horatio Alger, Jr., Apple Blossoms
Old belief systems can be like noxious weeds, flourishing in the garden of life despite lack of water or sun or any encouragement whatsoever. Eliminating toxic beliefs and replacing them with beliefs we do want isn’t quite as easy as plucking the weed and putting a lovely blossoming tree in its place.
I’m aware that I haul old beliefs around in a bulging mental suitcase that I keep meaning to empty, but I haven’t consciously tried to root them out and toss them on the compost heap. Fortunately, my subconscious mind appears to have its own way of handling this little chore without my intentional intervention.
At a recent session with Dr. Peebles, I asked for clarification about an odd experience I had earlier this month.
CV: A little while ago, I energetically “pulled” something from my forehead area and sent it to the Light. I had a visual of a thick black rope, almost like a solid column of black rubber, and I kept pulling this invisible thing with my hands until I got to the end and it disappeared. What can you tell me about that?
Dr. Peebles: So before we give you our two cents, tell us what you know. What does your heart know that this was a release of?
CV: The first thing that I thought at the time was that it was “old belief systems,” or no-longer-necessary belief systems, or belief codes.
Dr. P: Yes. You’ve got it, my dear. So let us talk about which belief systems and belief codes these were, because you’re hitting the nail right upon the head.
What you were releasing, what you were transmuting in that activity, was an experience, a very, very deep cord, not only from your life but in your lineage as well, of the belief that, no matter what, you should double check everything with your mind.
You should look both ways before you cross your street, you should balance the numbers, you should look at what the statistics say, and what are others doing, and what are they not doing. The double-checking aspect.
This has a connection in your lineage to not trusting yourself. To trusting the three-dimensional reality more than you trust the fifth-dimensional experience.
Looking at the facts. “Let’s look at what has worked before, the science of things—beyond, before, the faith of things.”
Indeed, this is not that you are pulling this cord, to never check with the mind again. To never double check or listen to science, of course not.
But the cord that you’re pulling out is the belief system, or the belief code, that says, “Check with your mind first. Go with what you know, first. Look around you and observe what you can see first, and then feel it.”
Because you’re in this transmutation, you’re in this transition of life, in which you’re learning to live in the heart and double check with the mind, instead of living in the mind and double checking with the heart.
So this is what was pulled out and released, transmuted. It’s not that you won’t pop in to that belief here and there again, but you pulled out the central cord, like the through-line.
It’s not that you won’t visit this belief system here and there, but there’s not a colony, so to speak. Like when you move ants out of your home, once you do that, you might find that there’s one or two ants straggling sometimes, investigating old experiences. But you don’t have a trail of ants any longer. Does it make sense to you, dear?
CV: It does. I was thinking of the taproot of a weed.
Dr. P: You’ve got it, my dear, you’ve got it. So this is wonderful! We thank you, and we honor you for being aware of it, for noticing it. Very good job.
CV: Thank you. I knew you would have further explanation on it, because I just kind of did it, and it went away, and I thought, well, that was something, what was it, well I think it was belief systems…and then I didn’t really think about it anymore.
But I did write it down as a question because it’s the kind of thing that my mind likes to know.
Dr. P: Wonderful. And we want you to give yourself a little wink, yes? A little giggle, that the mind wants to know exactly the release work of what has been the through-line of the mind needing to know all the time!
*****
I don’t consciously notice that the mind-based belief system is no longer predominant and has been superseded by another that feels more authentic than the old logic-driven method. I suspect it is an under-welling spring that rises now, the automatic checking with the heart first instead of the mind.
I feel like I have tuned in to a new channel, one that broadcasts peace, joy, hope, serenity. I hear it as a lovely song, one I intend to keep tuning in to as much as possible from now on.
