“My Poetry”
Why not for once a normal rhyming verse?
Like others do when a sonnet is made
Far away from dwelling in the past shade
Distant from the Light of the Universe
Conventional without being diverse
Traditional paths loyally portrayed
By public opinion easily swayed
To follow the herd and not to reverse
Alas, this request I can not accept
For I am faithful to my heart solely
And my inspiration is safely kept
Words flow from my pen freely and purely
At conforming I am not so adept
This is the nature of my poetry
