That’s pretty close

By rights we should hide our mistakes and make ourselves look good, right? But that’s only half the story, no?

Here’s one instance of the other half, which I relate because it shows divine protection in action.

On Feb. 6 of 2020, I was heating a pan for breakfast. I went into the front room for something when a text came in. Kathleen was in her car outside and could I bring her down the book I had for her please? I went down right away and when I came back up, my apartment was filled with smoke.

OMG, I’d left my pan with oil in it on a heated element. I then did all the wrong things, the pan caught fire, and the flames reached almost to the ceiling, as in the graphic. (1)

Then, just as suddenly, the flames receded into the pan and disappeared. That was that.

When I recovered from the shock of it all, I couldn’t believe what just happened. I asked Michael about it at our next reading.

Steve: Did you have a hand in putting out the stove fire that I caused on February 6th?

Archangel Michael: Not just a hand, sweet one. Now this is an example of when you ask about divine intervention. Now I am not suggesting that divine intervention is always so dramatic, but, yes, this had the potential to be quite a disastrous situation and it would have served no purpose.

Steve: What did you do?

AAM: We simply put it out.

Steve: Wow.

I’m telling you, I couldn’t believe what I’d created. Thank you very much for that! Anything further you want to say about it?

AAM: Yes, dear heart. BE CAREFUL. It is important that you realize because this has been a very simple, yet very dramatic example about how easy it is (because this has nothing to do with your returned memory, by the way) (2) it has everything to do with how to be distracted. (3)

Steve: The call came from Kathleen to come down and give her the book and I completely forgot I turned on the stove. Amazing! That’s a real wake-up call for me.

AAM: Yes, because you are living in a communal situation so it is not just your home. It is the community that is within this building that would be deeply affected.

Steve: Thank you.

AAM: You are welcome!

Steve: I also got protection out of that.

AAM: You are mightily protected. It is curious how often we can tell you this but now you truly know.

(1) Not only did Michael shut it down, but there was no trace of smoke damage anywhere. I’ve been in a burned-out home. Given how high the flames went, there should have been traces.

I’ve corrected this version because I remembered that there were actually two incidents and I confused them.

(2) I’m not entirely sure what he means by “returned memory.” My short-term memory is not working well yet, as you can see, although he says it will be by post-Reval (when I need it).

(3) If I’m distracted, I very often cannot remember what I was doing. No, it isn’t a structural problem. Apparently, it’s intentional rewiring and it’s been something I’ve needed to live with since some time before 2012, when I first complained about it to Michael. This is why I no longer do live interviews. I forget what I was saying in the middle of a sentence.
