What Is A Full Moon? What Is An Eclipse? Why Do We Care?
Coyotes make the full Moon happen.
Most people believe that Coyotes howl because the Moon gets full, but that is backwards. Coyotes are magical animals, and when it's time for a full Moon, they begin to howl. It is their howling that makes the Moon full. How do Coyotes know when it's time to call out the Moon? They are magical; they just know.
When they start howling the Sun knows to get out of the way - way out of the way. He goes off to the other side of the sky, as far away as He can be from the Moon, because He knows how unpredictable Coyote magic can be, and the Moon, being Feminine, well, She's unpredictable enough as is.
Since the Sun likes stability, the Sun and the Moon are always on opposite sides of the sky in opposite astrological signs whenever the Moon is full. This space between them creates an oppositional contrast, a powerful creative tension, and each body can hold its own. (Astronomers don't believe any of this, but what do they know?)
This time, the Sun will be in the sign of the Twins, Gemini, generating the energy of the Magical Mind, and the Moon is in the sign of the Archer, Sagittarius, wanting to birth a great vision.
Here on Earth, we experience this energetic tension whenever the Moon is full. For many human beings this much energy is too much energy, and conflicts and accidents can happen. The I Ching is explicit about this kind of configuration, and states that during times of opposition, the ideal Realizing Person (that's us) must change conflict into creative tension. We ideal Realizing Persons do this by simultaneously relaxing into whatever is going on, and holding a clear, confident, positive vision of what we want. This intention could be as simple as experiencing Peace.
Relaxing under pressure is usually not easy for us humans; we are known throughout the galaxy for our reactivity. How do we do it? By emulating the Sun and the Moon - they create space between themselves and let their opposite polarities, electric Sun and magnetic Moon, build a healthy field of energy between them. For humans, relaxing creates space. And inside that space, a womb of great potency, the seed of intention is planted. The advice for these times is: Stay calm, breathe deep, think forward. We can't control everything. But we sure can influence it.
We are tasked with this creative opportunity every month. The budding energy of the Moon's cycle grows things, and when it reaches fullness, all its latent power is released through our psyches (our mind-body Soul unit) and we must direct it carefully so we produce results that are healthy and fulfilling. Holding the tension with intention is crucial to produce a good result. Without clear intention much energy is wasted or misused, and sometimes we get swacked in the head when we just blow off the extra energy by indulging in emotional tantrums. Life calls us to be spiritually mature...responsible. The mature ones make it to The Fifth Dimension...

Coyotes are a special part of this full Moon because there is also a total lunar Eclipse - a perfect alignment in space between Earth, Moon, and Sun. And as we all know, Eclipses have extremely unpredictable energetics. Unpredictable, and very, very powerful, partly because they last about four hours - two hours on each side of the peak moment.
Eclipses are a major portal to the unconditioned, unconditionally loving, cosmic energy of the Primordial Oneness, that which created all of Life. The portal is a still-point, and is like the eye of a hurricane - Empty inside and Quiet. It is made possible by the alchemically balanced concentration of energy created by the line-up of Sun, Moon, and Earth. Life opens this door regularly in order to reset the energy fields on Earth with its purifying loving light. (Or, Believe Me, We would have croaked a long time ago!) This same action happens at the Solstices and Equinoxes, and is three days long in each case. With Eclipses, the Universe in fact creates a long window of transition spanning some time before the first and after the second one. So we are already in the energy field of whatever wants to happen at least a week or two before the actual first Eclipse.
The purpose of this stillpoint intersection is to vacuum up as much of the past energy, experience, and memory as possible, for the old to be emptied so new energies can come in and we can have higher level experiences. Life is always Moving Forward.
The wave-length shift upward is enormous during an Eclipse. Imagine that we, down here on our planet, normally run 110 lifeforce volts through our systems. When there's a full Moon, imagine that rises to 220. But when there's an Eclipse, the potential is exponential, and the frequency far exceeds that. You might liken it to the difference between travel at mach speed and travel at warp speed. This makes the potential for change far greater for those who can handle the energy wisely.
So when the Universe mixes Coyotes and Eclipses, humanity can have a magical field day if it concentrates. The Catholic Church was so concerned about this possibility that it was particularly vigilant to try to stop pagans from doing ceremony at these times. It understood, and still does, the power of directed psychic energy.
Where We Are Naturally Going Now
It's critical to understand that the Universe is orchestrating our release from old paradigm structures and the limiting beliefs that go with - it is a simple matter of Evolution - and we can see that for sure by the way everything is chaotic and falling apart. Things that were hidden away forever are now being disclosed. UFOs, for instance, are now in mainstream news...

With the understanding that we are acting (and improvising) in a play that the Universe is directing, we can relax and trust that we are getting out of the third-to-fourth dimensional limited state and into the fifth dimension of unity consciousness and freedom. Trusting this bigger picture is crucial, as we can be sucked backward by our thoughts and feelings into limiting experiences that are born from fear. Staying the Course and Trusting the Force opens the way for us. There is nothing to fight with, nothing to change. The old institutions are coming down of themselves, as the Universe simply is not feeding stupidity, greed, and abuse anymore. It is not allowing it to be anymore because it is time to change. (And we choose that.)
As consciousness grows in humanity, the light on everything increases, and it is harder and harder for dark beings to do what they've been doing. So don't worry about that stuff. Their days are numbered in low amounts. We must emulate the Universe's way and just let it all go, focusing exclusively upon what we want to bring into life now. Let go, be brave, trust yourSelf, trust the Wave.
Our job is to handle each day, each moment, as it comes, and imagine and practice being the new world. What's coming this week is an opportunity to go through a revolving door to a higher vibration. The calmer we are when the Big Wave comes, the easier it will be to ride it. Whatever way you choose to experience and play with this wave is up to you; no special preparation is necessary. Be aware that an Eclipse takes about four hours to run its cycle; we will be bathed in transformative liquid light that whole time.
The Key factor above all that will determine the result for each of us is our emphatic "Yes" to the world as we'd like to have it. Whatever way you do that naturally is the right way for you. You could create a ceremony with lots of details to specify to the Universe your preferences. You could do nothing but wait and open up. I like a balance of movement and meditation, and time doing nothing so I'm not getting in the way. Humans have egos that like to control things.
But if you are a Coyote, all you'll have to do is Howl.
