How Freeing it is | Steve Beckow
Just let go!

(Golden Age of Gaia)
There’s no doubt that I’m using this “quiet” time for introspection and purification.
When it’s as quiet as this, I can observe myself and notice my thoughts, and all the crossed connections and potential short circuits.
So I’m not just having the thoughts, but watching myself having them. (This is the awareness path.)
I noticed one thought today, where else but in the shower.
I saw that I cannot write on subjects that feature a high degree of social interaction. I have no background in them, except academically.
The thought just bubbled up. Or bubbled down.
I saw, when I looked deeper, that I don’t have mature and well-formed opinions in areas like parenting, education, and social interaction itself.
I’m a happy hermit, a satisfied single, and a dedicated writer.
Once I saw that, I felt a great sense of relief. I’d been experiencing cognitive dissonance – a war within myself – over the fact that I have no intelligent opinions on social topics or on political topics if they involved social interaction. So what was I going to write?
Nothing. Just stop. Decline to address a subject you have no intelligent opinion on.
Simple.
Don’t fake it till you make it. Don’t pretend. Don’t mock it up.
This isn’t an isolated realization. Realizations are coming more frequently now. I think they’re part of the rising love energies squeezing every bit of hiddenness out of us.
There’s nothing hid which shall not be made known. We’re being made known to ourselves as we gradually ascend.
Here a knot in consciousness is smoothed out. There the reason for an unproductive behavior pattern becomes clear. As a result, I know myself better and am more at ease.
I know for instance that I like the simple life. And not only know it, but am prepared to identify that publicly. Not only know it but also share it.
A friend said it was April and time to start wearing shorts. So I took out a pair of scissors and cut the legs off my jeans. My winter wardrobe (a T-shirt and jeans) has now become my summer wardrobe, at no cost. The simple life.
I don’t have thoughts about fashion. About family finance. How to deal with people. How to get ahead in the business world. How to win friends and influence people.
I don’t have thoughts on a lot of things.
How freeing it is to realize it.
