The Love of God’s Life | Heavenletters

God said:

Let Us talk about My love for a moment. It has been such a mystery to you, what love is, that you may be it, and you are perplexed how I, God, can love so much and love so much that which, in your eyes, has imperfection. You wonder how I can love you so much, simply as you are, a fussing being on Earth.

Sometimes you disdain yourself. That is not your own thought. It certainly is not your original thought.

Original thought is like Mine. You came into the world as a being of My light and you had complete awareness of how clearly you were loved and the immeasurable love that you contained. It was your original concept of yourself that faded out in the light of the day of the world.

Your original concept was so accurate and so inviolable that you had complete openness. You were so open that you took in the negativity you were handed. You filled yourself with it, and took it as your own. Then you looked inside yourself and saw not the love that was and is your true state but the negativity that had been perpetrated upon you, and you did not like it, and, therefore, you did not like yourself.

You find it hard to believe in My love, while you find it easy to believe in a number of other things. You have even believed in nothingness.

Empty yourself now, and return to openness.

Openness is not emptiness. It is fullness of love. Openness is your strength. When you are open, you are possessed of your full faculties.

Do not confuse the love I speak of with the emotion you know of as love. The love I speak of is a state of love that needs no object, unless you call Me an object. We can call the love I speak of as joy. It is a state of pure being. It is an evenness, not a disruption.

You tend to attribute your infrequent sense of inborn joy to everything but yourself, but the joy lies only within you. It comes from you to whatever you attribute it to, not from something outside you to you. Something outside may spark your awareness of your true state, but your awareness is yours. It is the core of you, this joy, this love, this awareness that you often overlook. You crowd it out is what you do.

This state of love that I insist you are and that you protest can’t be is, nevertheless, very familiar to you. You recognize it, that expanse within you. When you have awareness of it, it reverberates in your blood stream. Yes, even your blood knows its happiness, for it recognizes your joy. Your awareness of your inborn joy flushes out toxins, which are the residue of non-love thoughts. How quietly joyous you are when thoughts do not overtake your awareness! Non-thinking, you have awareness. You notice awareness.

It is like this: You have been watching a stage play, and you are enrapt in it — all the players, the scenery, the action, the story. And then the players leave. And then the props are removed. And then there is just the stage. The stage on which the play was shown is like your state of awareness on which your life struts. Life is louder than your awareness, even though the awareness is truth, and life is… well, not quite truth, especially as you interpret it. It is just the play. It is the play of life.

And now I will tell you to be more playful. Dispense with the weights that keep you from your God-given joy. You are not here on Earth to suffer and commit drama. You are here to reveal Me through, not the love you display, but the love that you are, for you are the love of My life.
