"Red and Blue makes Purple"

Blue and Red make Purple
Blue stands in opposition to Red
Red stands in opposition to Blue
If we go by what we think to be true
Two options on one dial
Purple alone brings a smile
The silent witness to the trial
In terms of water, red is hot, blue is cold
In terms of politics
Blue is progressive, and Red is old
Purple is timeless with many truths to be told
To choose one Red or Blue; the selector had bought what the seller has sold
Blue and Red makes Purple…wisdom says, nay
Purple makes Red and Blue, it’s all a display
When seen in this way, there is no dismay.
