Sunrise | Mystical Muse
"Sunrise"
By Mystical Muse
Walking on empty streets,
it’s as if I’ve become invisible...
or perhaps just swept away, to some other time
another place.
I claim the Sunrise,
and joyfully breathe,
Free
Where’s your face?
It’s in your phone, behind that mask,
you’re minds lost in the sticky webs
of The Other Worlds
of the other ones.
A blur in the darkening chaos
In other words, gone
Lost in their world, not of this world.
This emptying world with its emptying streets.
The songs of the birds,
sweet rhythms,
the beat and the breath of the waters and wind
But,
Where have you flown to?
What do you owe to?
Who has you caged?
You cannot see the clouds when your face is always down
A human, in the flesh acknowledges
And yet...
You remain entranced to the beast in your hand,
in the mind.
I’ve become to you,
nothing more than an apparition,
You blow past, trampling the face, the flesh
I knew you once.
Now,
Night into day, no one’s out to play
they just keep in their cell, writhing in hell
as the written words swell,
that they’re looking to sell
more food for the foddered...
Why even bother?
Push back your chairs,
and get out.
Shut down the systems
and get out.
Close the rumor mill, times up.
What is it you’re looking for?
It’s not in the box.
Turn off your head,
The Heart is on Fire
Do you even know what I speak of?
Can you even hear, or perhaps refusing to listen.
Get yourself some sunshine,
sweet on your skin, glistening.
Air.
Breathe.
Walk the emptying streets, of this emptying world
You won’t be alone,
You’re not alone.
I’m here.
