The "I Love you" Practice | Alcazar Quotes

The "I Love You" Practice

Lisa [a participant] writes that she is aware of self-judgment and the judgment of others, and she has a fear of being seen. That's coming from a place, from the program that many of us have of not being good enough. When you judge yourself, when you've accepted this program that “I'm not good enough,” then you don't want people to see you because you think they will say, “Oh, you're not good enough. There's something wrong with you.” So then you believe that you want to hide.

The reality is we are all unique individuals and that, “I'm not good enough,” is a program that almost everyone has been programmed with. More and more people are realizing it's not true. It's not the reality. It's just the program. And so, if you have this feeling of not being good enough, this is the time to really love yourself, really care for yourself, do loving things for you. The little technique that I've been talking about is to sit in front of the mirror, look into your eyes. Say to yourself, “I love you. I love you. I love you. These little techniques are simple and easy, and if you can continue with them - not just doing them once or twice but continue - they will go deeper.
