If we’d have ascended in 2012, apparently 30% of the Earth’s population would have entered the new vibratory environment. (1)

That 30% – perhaps 2 billion? – will have been the people able to survive in the more refined vibrations of the higher dimension.

The people who were left behind would not have been able to handle the light of those regions.

But the collective consciousness cried out for more time so that all who wanted to could ascend. And the Mother agreed.

Even if I as an individual was not aware of participating in that choice, made at the level of the collective consciousness, I experience my choice in aligning with that decision now.

Fast forward eight years and we’re tapping our fingers on the table wondering what’s happening.

In the past I’ve mentioned the fact that the human body would only be able to tolerate a certain range and amount of energy being pumped through it. The mind would only be able to handle a certain amount of symptoms before becoming unhinged. The Company of Heaven has to go slow or they’d create complications for everyone.

But there’s another side to it. The people who would have ascended in 2012 were ready to ascend. The additional people who are now to ascend are not necessarily ready for any of a thousand reasons.

Among the provisions made for helping them become ready to ascend are our own efforts as lightworkers.

It’s hoped that we’ll work with the open and receptive; others may reject the choice of ascending. The Law of Free Will requires us to allow those who reject Ascension to go their own way blessed and unmolested.

But the ones who want to ascend and must – “get up to speed” is the only term I can find for it – are, I predict, where the work and the challenge will come for us.

We hear of ascended masters returning so mentorship will be available.

I remember Sanat Kumara saying in 2013 that the Company of Heaven did not warn us about 2012 because they didn’t want to kill the momentum which was very productive. I don’t blame them. I’d have made the same decision.

Perhaps it’s better that a terrestrial say this than someone else: I think we need to adjust our alarms, maybe even turn them off altogether.

Ascension is not going to happen tomorrow. There’s work to be done before what Michael has variously called ignition and the snap (Sahaja Samadhi, the culmination of this 3/4D Ascension).

It falls to us to take up that work.

I’m 300 pages into a new compilation of articles on Ascension. I know full well that I’m doing this book-making as part of the effort to speed the newcomers along in their understanding of what exactly is happening.

But I also get that I contribute as well by accepting that the pace is slower than I’d like but necessary.
