A Wind Ago | Poem by Daughter of Terra

A Wind ago
Time told me tales too tumultuous to hold
And then a thought came to me of gold and feathers and those tales of old, I could no longer hold.
A Wind ago
A Wind ago
A Wind ago.
A Wind ago I knew myself to be beholden to another man's story
Shelving my own grace
Hiding my own glory
A Wind ago
A Wind ago
A Wind ago
A Wind ago I thought of a place called home. And like all homes you take it with you everywhere you go.
Even when it's a mental construct designed by our altered ego.
Like a tortoise shell, silently screaming its only secret. "some homes you have to grow into".
Not the one of form we have built ourselves into. It's all mental.
But we have a real home, we just stepped away from for far to long.
No matter where you are now. No matter what you've been through.
One day you realize...you never left.
Its there...lovingly offering you your next breath.
How do I know?
How do I know?
How do I know?
The wind told me...
A Wind ago.
