God said:
When you have awareness of Me one time more than another, it is a matter of the quality of your attention. That has to be so because I am with you totally without fail all of the time. It is an impossibility for Me to be absent for even one split millisecond. I do not wander. It is simply your awareness that does.
Of course, there are levels of awareness, as you are well aware. Choose an angle of lightheartedness. Not heavy-duty. Remind yourself that I am not a duty. I am a pleasure. A sense of duty becomes heavy and seems to drag you. It certainly weighs you down. So you want a lilt of Me, a light base to touch on, a light greeting, a light expectancy. Not a serious God-must-appear-to-me-right-now, but a lighthearted Wouldn’t-it-be-nice-if-I-felt-the-Godbond-right-now?
Consider that you are looking for Godness rather than God Himself or Herself. You are looking for the essence of God. Whenever you feel a sweet quality of love in your heart, a sweet enlivenment, a beginning of the full flush of awareness dawning, you are aware of the love I strum in your heart. And aren’t you aware of it as you read My words now? Don’t you feel something effulgent between Us? Of course, there is nothing between Us, for We are One, yet We can say that love is between Us, even when there is no between Us to put love. We are love. Love is Us! We are It. This exquisite churning of your heart as We meet now on these pages is Our simple connectedness, and that is all there is, beloveds. Wherever you happen to be, We are. Wherever you think you are, We are still the Oneness of love.
What you feel right now plunk in the center of your heart is Our familial love. This is Our relationship. We say Father and child. Yet in Oneness there is neither Father nor child. There is Oneness. Our relationship is Oneness. In that sense, We always are met. There is no arriving, for We have arrived. Love is here. You might as well have awareness of it, and now.
Do We know Whose hand holds Whose? Do We know Whose heart holds Whose? Do We know Which is Which or What is What? There is no Whose and there is no Which or What. There is only Godness. Godness We are and have always been. In motion and in stillness, We are One. We are locked in the One Heart of God.
Locked in heartedness, We expand. Locked in love, We are free. Eternally One, We can never depart. No ill can befall Us. You think it can because your awareness has slipped from its enthrallment with love. Some occlusion entered your heart. Signaled by some event on Earth, the full love in your imagined heart slips and falls, and you are bewildered. It is bewildering to forget Our Oneness.
When your heart aches, for a moment you have absented yourself from the awareness of the depths and heighths of Our love, our pure and simple Oneness. This is much like reading a book and having a slight interruption. For a moment, you lose your place in the book. For a moment you are vague. You scramble now to find the page. What was obvious love becomes hidden from your view, hidden only from your view, but not hidden at all. Nothing has altered but your awareness.
The page is not lost. The page is here as it ever was. Only your eyes fell from it for just a moment. And in another moment, you will return your eyes to the page and fall into love again.
