Desirelessness: The Path Of No Resistance

Desirelessness is the path of no resistance. In that path, one becomes the ideal resistance-less light bulb which has no heat and is infinitely bright. So bright will one be that others will seek one, looking for the way towards permanent happiness, Peace, and Bliss. Only in sahaja samadhi can one be permanently desireless. Just as in light, there can be no darkness. In the presence of that one who is desireless, the ego of the seeker must come out, be exposed for what it is (an illusion), and transcended. The ego cannot withstand Unconditional Love. How can the ego withstand that love which accepts life as it is without a desire to change it when the ego itself is the refusal of the freedom for life to express it? And the irony of it is that the emanation of your unconditional love’s vibration is changing the world to be more loving, peaceful, and happy. What is there to even change when you, as Pure Awareness/Unconditional Love, are all of it. When life has recognized that one loves it as it is, it falls in love with one. The lover and loved then merge and only oneness remain. Life is then effortlessly lived for one has become synchronized with it.

Desires will exist so long as one considers one’s self separate from all of creation. When there is abidance as Pure Awareness/Unconditional Love which translates to divine union with all there is, that is desirelessness. In that abidance as unconditional love, there is no mind to hanker after sense objects. Thus, one can remain desireless even when doing all sorts of activities because only the body is engaging with life. You, the ultimate reality, are doing nothing and simply remain as the projection screen on which the movie of life is projected. It looks as if you are observing but the observer and the observed are one and the same so there is no observing taking place. That’s why Ramana Maharshi has said, “Reality IS as it IS.” You cannot really describe that which transcends the mind. It can only be felt. It just IS…

I can only describe this state of Pure Awareness/Unconditional Love because I have temporarily been in it multiple times. Afterwards, the mind externalizes itself, but then I internalize it right back to the Source of creation. However, the goal is to make the internalization permanent and effortless. That goal is otherwise known as sahaja samadhi. With earnestness and grace, it will be achieved. If Ramana had a spontaneous achievement of sahaja samadhi without even doing any spiritual practice, we too can do it. Don’t let the mind dictate what you can or cannot achieve. It is a mirage that looks as if it comes from a place of power and has an apparent form but if attention is placed on the source of all creation, you will see you remain unaffected despite the commentary of the mind. Rather, you always were and will be Pure Awareness/Unconditional Love. Only when there is identification with the body can the commentary of the mind affect one.

When you know yourself (that of Pure Awareness/Unconditional Love), there is no entity to tell you otherwise. That’s what the bible means by KNOW THYSELF.
