April Fools!

One of the ways April Fool’s Day was celebrated in earlier times was to send someone on “a fool’s errand.”
A nobleman might send his servants on a wild goose chase. Or a newspaper might advertise a fictitious event, such as “the annual ceremony of the washing of the lions” at the Tower of London in 1698. (1)
This is a good day to ask ourselves, as some people have asked of me: By believing in such things as Ascension and the Reval, are we embarking on a fool’s errand?
There isn’t a part of me that believes that these are fictional events. But suppose for a moment they were. Suppose I woke up tomorrow and saw that it was all a dream? What then?
I’d have to say to myself that at no time in my life – not during extended growth workshops and trainings, intensives and retreats – have I ever grown as much as I have in, say, the last five years.
In terms of growth, what’s the difference between actually owning trillions of dollars and acting out the fantasy that I did? Or allowing myself to expand because I’m ascending or simply because I believe I am?
This is a dream world anyways. What’s the difference between dreaming I’m acting and acting in a dream world? The benefit to me in terms of growth is the same.
What’s the difference between expanding my beingness contemplating all that’s being said about Ascension and expanding my beingness because of the influx of energies? I expand under either circumstance.
If the purpose of life is to realize who we are (answer: God), what difference does it make how I arrive at that knowledge? Some people arrive at it through action; others through “inaction” (meditation).
Some love others; some, a deity; others, themselves. What difference does it make how love is activated providing it is, leading to enlightenment?
I for my part am not waiting for either event to begin living fully into the role I’ll play or how I’ll feel after. I’m living fully into the expansiveness of both without waiting for a planetary heart opening or the onset of abundance and all that follows them.
Some may twist my words and say that I said that the Reval and Ascension were just dreams. I can’t stop people from misinterpreting my words.
But I don’t for a minute believe that either are dreams, although both are taking longer than we’d probably like.
What I’m saying is that I’m using this time, in regards to both events, to live into the promise and opportunity that both present to expand as fully as I can from the simple contemplation of them.
I don’t think we’re April Fools for believing in either of them. But we may be missing out on the opportunity that both of them represent by not living fully into the promise of both of them, now.
