First off, I don’t consider myself a writer. I’m a fixer. I fix stuff: nuts-and-bolts stuff, physical stuff. I’ve been a fixer from a very early age.
I always wanted to understand how things worked, so if it was broken, I took it apart to try to fix it. Even if I couldn’t fix it, I usually learned how it worked.
The feeling of satisfaction that came from helping others with their broken stuff wasn’t something I really understood or fully appreciated until recently. Because I’ve always been able to look at something that’s broken and have a flood of possible remedies pop into my head, I thought that was something everyone could do.
Recently, a friend and I were discussing talents and gratitude. We were talking about how each person’s special talents, when shared with Love and received with Gratitude, were certainly gifts from the Creator–each an expression of the Creator manifested through an individual soul’s aspect for the benefit of all involved, each talent never repeated in exactly the same way.
Suddenly, the phrase “Stewards of Miracles” popped into my head. Tears welled up in my eyes as the ramifications of that concept soaked in. Think about this miracle. When we put them all together–each person’s unique gifts–all the bases are covered, making it possible for every problem to be experienced and solved.
It’s an awe-inspiring concept–being the hands of the Creator. And if we regard our individual talents as aspects of the Creator that we’ve been blessed to manifest (rather than let the ego tell us that we developed these abilities all on our own) and if we treat them as gifts from the Creator, then they are surely endless and may be shared without reservation as they will be supplied as needed.
This was an entirely new perspective for me. Here are a few questions born of this perspective: If we deny ourselves sharing our special gifts, have we not withheld these experiences from the Creator also? Wouldn’t we also be depriving ourselves of having the same returned to us? So doesn’t our obligation to share our abilities extend beyond ourselves?
And let’s not forget this: Even as the Creator made no two snowflakes the same, each person’s gifts are not precisely duplicated and the opportunities to express them are never repeated in exactly the same way. Is that not a miracle in itself?
We’re blessed with our special gifts from the Creator. We’re stewards of these gifts. And as we share them with Love & Gratitude, then miracles can manifest.
So it seems we are eternal beings having infinite opportunities to be Stewards of Miracles.
This story never ends.
