1987: The little golden star had lost its brilliance in a cloud of matter, mater, Mother. (1)

(Golden Age of Gaia)
Following my vision of the purpose of life, in 1987, one of the statements I felt justified to make was that life was a journey from God to God and that Mother/Father God created it that way so that it (2) could have an experience of itself.
Every time one of us gets enlightened, God meets God. And for that meeting was all of this created.
That having been said, it follows that the purpose of our lives is to enlighten ourselves so as to give God the experience of God.
Do any of the sages – terrestrial, galactic, or celestial – agree with me so far?
In fact they do. Here is “Source Creator” channeled by Goldenlight:
“How would I get to experience Myself if it were not for you?”
“Before you there was just Me, before the Earth and all the planets and star systems and galaxies and universes there was just Me and only Me.
“I needed to create I needed to split apart and individuate so I could know Myself and see Myself and see all the wonders of creation. You are all ME!” (3)
And here is a group calling itself the Heavenly Hosts:
“[Life] is all just experience to satisfy the Creator’s desire to experience Itself through Its creations.” (4)
And finally the Divine Mother, the final authority in my universe, acknowledged my own version of the story:
Steve: The Source, the One wants to know itself. Is that correct?… And it can’t because it’s everything. So it’s taken the aspect of Yourself and designed a universe in order for us to learn our true identities. The moment of Enlightenment is when God meets God. Is that correct?
Divine Mother: That is correct… Yes, it is designed this way. (5)
For me, there’s no one else to ask.
Bayazid of Bistun perfectly captured the moment of God meeting God:
“I went from God to God, until they cried from me in me, ‘O thou I!'” (6)
And Sri Ramakrishna humorously depicted God at that moment:
“When Siva realizes his own Self, He dances about in joy exclaiming, ‘What am I! What am I!’” (7)
Hindu saints have called creation a leela, a divine play. Here is Sri Ramakrishna’s chief disciple, Swami Vivekananda:
“This universe is just the play of the Lord – that is all. It is all just for fun. “(8)
And Sri Ramakrishna himself:
“God has created the world in play, as it were. This is called Mahamaya, the Great Illusion.” (9)
It’s probably hard for us to accept such a statement when we’re down here experiencing DEW attacks, manmade hurricanes, financial markets threatened, etc. We have our hands full without thinking about a divine play.
Fair enough. But if we’re searching for the truth of the purpose of life, which for us is to realize ourselves – and now we see why – then this is that truth.
All of us serve God’s pleasure in experiencing and knowing itself. And the reward for us is ever-increasing delight as we peel back one layer after another to find the God beneath.
