HOW IS THE SOUL DIFFERENT FROM THE SPIRIT?
What is the difference between soul and spirit?
And is there any difference at all?
Your soul is an individualization of the Divine Spirit, which is All That Is. The soul is universal life energy, focused and localized, vibrating at a specific frequency at a specific time in a specific place.
The energy that vibrates in this special way is the Unique Flow of Universal Life. In English this is an acronym for SOUL. The Soul uses the rest of Itself, that is, draws on the Energy of Universal Life, as one of the three instruments for the formation of specific experience. The energy of Universal Life is sometimes called spirit. The other two instruments are the body and the mind.
Your soul is who you are. Your body and mind are what you use to experience who you are in the Realm of Relativity.
The home of your soul is in the Sphere of the Absolute, where the Divine Spirit resides. Now your soul lives in the Sphere of the Relative and makes the journey Home. When she returns home, she will be reunited with the Rest of Herself. That is, it will merge again with the Divine Spirit and become One Spirit.
This merging into One is called samadhi in some eastern mystical traditions. It can be achieved even when the soul is in the Realm of the Relative along with the body and mind, although this experience is usually very short.
The soul can also leave the body and mind in order to be restored and filled with energy. This happens during the intervals that you call sleep. Finally, the soul can merge with its Universal Energy, becoming One with the Divine Spirit for a very long period. This happens in the moments you call death.
Of course, there is no such thing as death. “Death” is simply the name you give to the experience of your soul transforming your body and mind as it reunites with the All in All.
Therefore, the soul participates in an endless cycle. Having experienced the bliss of samadhi and the ultimate Knowledge of Union, the soul again stands out from the All, regulates its vibrations and transforms its energy at a specific point in what you would call the space-time continuum.
The soul's final journey through this never-ending cycle of Divinity Experiencing Itself has given birth to the Being you call “you.”
But please explain this: I have always heard that the soul strives to know itself as One with All That Is.
This is true.
But, if the soul strives for this, why, having finally reunited with the All in All, finally returning to God, does it not remain there? Why does the soul arise from the All to become "individualized" again?
Because That That Is Divine also seeks to experience all the individual aspects of Divinity. It desires to fully and experientially Know Itself and to expand and recreate Itself anew—to become a broader and broader version of Itself—and it does this by entering the Realm of the Relative in an individualized form.
The Divine Spirit emerges from the All as individual projections of the All to receive the full experience of the All That Is through an infinite variety of different expressions, which you rightly call the spectacular Miracle of Life.
