God said:

Be yourself, and do not do or say things to prove yourself.

If you desire to be more independent, be more independent as you like, but do not take actions in order to prove you are independent. This is like taking a self-imposed dare.

Do not do anything to prove anything.

Give gifts all you want, yet do not give a gift to someone to prove that you love him or her.

Do not join a gang to show you are brave.

Do not take dares. Do not make dares.

First of all, there is nothing for you to prove. Aspire to be brave, and be it. Commit bravery to save a child from a burning house. Commit bravery by making an apology to someone you offended. Do not do anything to show you are brave, to show or prove you are anything at all.

Be kind. Be it, but don’t try to prove that you are.

Let your actions come from inside your heart and not to placate the world’s impression of you, or anyone’s impression of you.

You are really brave, and you are really kind when you follow the guidance of your own heart and not to prove to yourself nor prove to anyone that you are brave, or kind, or wise, good, generous, perfect and so on.

As soon as you perform in order to prove something, you are skirting the real issues. Maybe proving is the same as showing off, and you show off to prove something to yourself and someone else. Be imperfect then and alive and real. Give yourself more credit to begin with.

Do not try to prove that you are cool. Enjoy instead.

Do not try to prove that you are honest. Be honest.

Do you see how the need to prove yourself comes from less than strength? You are to come from strength, beloveds, and not from fear. Certainly you don’t need to be afraid of how someone on the outside may perceive you. Perceive yourself, and be glad.

If you feel you are shy, for instance, fine, go ahead and practice being bold. Be the first to speak once today, and twice tomorrow and so on. Practice is not proving. It is practicing. It is training yourself. Train yourself, but do not do it for the sake of proving anything to anyone.

Love cannot be practiced, beloved. Being aware of love can be practiced. Being open to love can be practiced. The intention to love can be practiced, but love itself is its own master. When your heart is open enough, love will flow through. There will be nothing to it.

You cannot make love exist. Love can be a general decision you make, but you cannot order love around. Love is not a switch you turn on and off. The throttle of love must be left on.

Do you now dispense with the idea of proving anything to anyone including yourself?

Reveal but do not try to prove.

Do not try to prove that you are better than someone else. Do not even try to prove that you are better than you yourself used to be. Of course, you are wiser, for you are learning all the time. But what is there to prove, beloveds, and to whom must you prove it?

When you feel the desire to prove something, consider that desire as a warning signal going off. A signal that you are building a false front. Simply desire to be true to yourself and to everyone else.

Nothing has to be proved. What is it that you possibly have to prove?
