Reoccurring conflict is when two or more people exist in a state of mutual deficiency — needing, expecting, or insisting from others what they haven’t learned to receive from a deeper truth within themselves.
Perhaps as you explore the pattern of conflict, you may notice it as a symptom of inner despair — the sensation of being isolated and alone with a depth of power you don’t know how to access or express due to only knowing how to give it away in exchange for other people’s approval.
To unravel patterns of perpetual conflict, melt the walls of inner despair, and reclaim any degree of power you have given away, please repeat silently or aloud the following three sections:
Today’s Awareness:
“If I give away my power in exchange for someone’s love, I lack the power to receive love — even from those who want nothing to do with the power I give away.”
Today’s Acceptance:
“I offer love and forgiveness to the parts of me that only know how to receive love in exchange for giving away my power.
I love and forgive the parts of me that believe they are unworthy.
I love and forgive the parts of me that have been attracted to emotionally unavailable partners just to have something to earn, fix, and overcome as a way of justifying the pattern of struggle and avoiding the ability to intimately give and receive — a depth of giving and receiving that parts of me equally desire and fear.
I love and forgive the parts of me that get lost in the fantasy of other people’s potential as a way of innocently overlooking how emotionally unavailable people are right now. ”
Today’s Intention:
“I hold compassionate space for the struggles other people face, while no longer agreeing to lower my frequency to compensate or compromise for the defenses and avoidances of others.
With the utmost love for any person and the history they have endured and continue to process, I only plant seeds where love yearns to grow.
I now move in the direction that love is meant to go.”
All for Love,
Matt
