(Golden Age of Gaia)
Do you ever have intrusive thoughts come unbidden into your head? Say, for example, that I’m pulling out of my driveway, and the thought occurs to me that a big truck could come speeding out of nowhere to broadside my little car. Horrible idea, yes? The instant follow-up thought is a dissolution of any such possibility.
An unmistakable, “I do not want or invite any such thing” pulsed out to the Universe is what puts that vision into the incinerator…and that timeline collapses. It might be weird to say, but I think I’m doing that all day long. Maybe we all are.
- No, I won’t trip and fall down the stairs.
- No, I won’t drop our dinner on the floor.
- No, The knife won’t slip and leave me with a slice across my hand.
- No, I won’t be hurling the water glass in my hand through the plate glass window…
This was the direction of a conversation I was having with my daughter the other day. Happily, we get to choose what we’ll do with such thoughts. While we were talking, I started really noticing how calm and serene the Young One’s demeanor and beingness had been of late. In terms of free expression, she has been known to historically and decidedly be quite the fiery creature, so an exploration of the mellow seemed to be well in order.
Apparently, she’s trained herself to recognize when something is likely to ignite some kind of upset, and the upset could have even been sourced in one of the aforementioned intrusive thoughts. When I suggested that we all need to be masters of the redirect, she said it wasn’t like that for her. It’s more like stepping on the freshly lit fuse before it gets any further along. A redirect indicates that the fire has already started.
If she’s already upset, that energy has to run its course to full expression. Why allow herself to indulge in negative thoughts and dwelling on all the “what ifs?” ~ Especially when doing so would be certain to lead to an uncomfortable few hours (or even longer), and an unnecessary drop in personal frequency.
No thanks, we’re good without that. I agree with her that heading off the negative self-chatter at the pass is the wisest course of action. No need to indulge in fruitless, negative contemplation on any particular subject. Just say No. All we really need to concern ourselves with is what’s in our now moment, anyway.
Managing both potential and actual upset is very different for me. I can switch gears at the speed of Light, letting go of a conversation or topic just because I want to, and at almost any point. Of course, for me, if the fuse is close to reaching my personal and well-protected dynamite, maybe not so much. Things generally de-escalate before it ever really gets to that point, though, I’m happy to say.
The bottom line is that our experiences and what comes in the path before us are not truly the most compelling and important aspects of our individual stories. It’s what we choose to do with those things that determines what our next opportunities will be.
We’re all reaching for our highest and best every day, calling in what ancient skills and memories are ours to claim. It’s a Sacred Journey, and none of us would be here unless we had a serious mission to be a part of and to complete. We’re doing that, and apparently quite beautifully.
So here’s to a fulfillment of the Divine Plan, the collapsing of any and all negative timelines, and for the Ascension of our exquisite planet and all the Life upon her to proceed free of interference!
In the name of the Light and for the highest good of all concerned, make it so…
