Stillness of Mind: One of our Accepted Tools? | Steve Beckow

Is stillness of mind at the present time just a tool in a lightworker’s toolbox?

Notice this. In past decades we’d have said that a still mind would be immediately followed by some spiritual experience.

No, not in my case. Still mind is still mind and I still walk around perfectly normal. I don’t even notice it as I go about my day.

… Except … now that you mention it, I do feel an evenness of experience. I do see that I don’t go off on an emotional rollercoaster … uhhh, errr, very often … any more.

I feel certain that there’s an explanation for this change in the effect of a still mind. I believe it’s that the Mother and the celestials, in this most important of Ascensions, are moderating the experiences of lightworkers so that we do not let go of our service contracts and leave on a spiritual journey … or, as Michael calls them, a detour … away from our soul agreements.

In my case, I contend that the same divine beings who toned down most of the major experiences I’ve had since 2011, providing me with only glimpses, would moderate future experiences such that still mind does not result in a destabilizing spiritual experience. I need to remain at my post.

Instead, stillness becomes simply a tool to be incorporated into a lightworker’s toolbox, to be used in the work that follows.

I offer, as proof, some of my spiritual experiences since meeting Archangel Michael in Jan. 2011. Here’s a list of those which were somehow toned down or moderated:Four allegedly seventh-dimensional experiences (at the March 2011 meditation retreat, twice in the Ocean of Love, and the sight of my knightly universal Self).

One seventh-chakra experience (watching the golden river of the kundalini flow over my eyes and into my crown chakra).

One fourth-chakra experience (the sight of the Self at Xenia).

Another fourth-chakra experience – the heart opening – doesn’t seem to me to have been truncated. (1)

In some, bliss was missing or toned down. I may as well have been watching a movie. In others, the light of the Self was toned down. The Mother explained what was behind it:

Steve: The experience at Xenia, Mother, was that truncated?

Divine Mother: Slightly, yes.

Steve: I had the thought [it was]. … The Light I saw should have been brighter than a thousand suns. The fact that it wasn’t suggests to me that the experience was truncated. …

DM: It was not is brilliant as possible, let us put it that way.

Steve: Alright… And again, the reason is to keep me in sync with my readers?

DM: To keep you in sync with your readers. But let me be very clear…. If you had seen the light as it actually is – yes, a million, billion suns – you would have simply departed. …

We don’t mean die but you would have departed the life that you have designed – yes, with us – for yourself, for the service you are providing – you would have departed and simply said, ‘I do not need to do this. I will just simply sit in the bliss of love and good luck, everybody!’ (2)

I have a service contract. It has phases – some time with readers; some in a financial ivory tower; some with the galactics.

Upon seeing the Self as it is, I think it’s probable that nothing would have stopped me from going off to a cave and completing the job. So they moderated my experience to keep me at my post.

I point this out so that you don’t feel disappointed when you have an experience which seemed to lack an important dimension – like bliss. It’s not a deficiency in you. No need to feel disappointed or frustrated.

You have a prior contract which makes it inappropriate to demonstrate your angelic abilities to achieve enlightenment, just yet. Michael has assured me that that time will also come.

He confirms divine intervention:

Steve: [Emptiness of mind] was followed next by what appeared to be the kundalini completing its circuit at the seventh chakra. Is that in fact what happened?

AAM: Yes. Now it is part of the reset button.

Think of it in this way. If you are installing, say, a new program [Fifth Dimensionality], or you had an old program [Third Dimensionality] that kept stalling out three quarters of the way and you were frustrated as all get out with it. And you are asking for the fullness of the [new] program to come online, you turn off your computer and you restart it [i.e., you reboot after the installation to start the new program].

That is what you did.

Steve: Interesting! Ordinarily you would experience Brahmajnana at that point but I felt that it had been muted, toned down.

AAM: When you use the term “dramatic enlightenment experiences” [as I did earlier], you are talking about Nirvana. (3) You are talking about the unity of all with One.

It is not to say that you will not experience that, but you cannot (well, you can if you wish; it is a choice to) simply remain in that state of unity, of One, or be fully conscious, [and be] in service, in action…. (4)

So, it is a toning down, if anything. It really is the middle ground. …

You know that enlightenment is right there in front of you. [After all, we are angelics.] It is yours to access. But if you are in service, you will not choose to live there. …

You can think of it as keeping two feet firmly on the ground. (5) [My emphasis.]

So there it is in black and white: “If you are in service, you will not choose to live [in the higher dimensions].”

It doesn’t mean we’re condemned to a lower dimension forever. If we decide we’ve done as much as we could and our guides agree, we can return to the higher dimension from which we came.

Where does Michael say that? Let’s see….

Archangel Michael: Now, it is not necessary for those of you, for example, who have been [angelics] to reincarnate again and again as humans because you have assumed that form, or that you have need to go through the entire process of the angelic realm. You will zoom through it. You will what we are calling leap-frog through it back to where you were, back to who you really are.

And if your service, for example, is of such magnitude as an [angelic] on Earth, then there is a likelihood or a potential that you would be called back to the [Throne]. Now, does that make it more clear to thee? (6)

It sure does. It makes all of this – all the health problems, financial worries, disagreements, losses, that so characterize the Third Dimension – bearable.

There’s no getting stuck for us in 3/4D unless we want to be. (7) We’re merely in an interlude in an otherwise ascended existence, which we’ll return to when we’re complete here.

We’re being asked to feed the banquet guests first and then we eat. But all will be fed.

So stillness is stillness but not always. In our case, as lightworkers at the banquet of Ascension, stillness of mind may not lead to otherwise-expected spiritual experiences. It just may become one of our accepted tools in the work we’re here to do.

(2) I believe by “Nirvana” AAM means Ascension. He also calls it “the unity of all with One.”

Sri Ramakrishna used to differentiate between two levels of enlightenment: One on which we saw that we are God (Brahmajnana, seventh-chakra enlightenment) and one on which we see that God has become everything (vijnana, or what we call Ascension). I believe that what Sri Ramakrishna called “God has become everything” is equivalent to what AAM calls “the unity of all with One.”
