The One wearing all the masks….

I think we unnecessarily hobble ourselves and miss an opportunity by calling the purpose of life Self-Knowledge.
It’s not that that isn’t a true statement. It’s that it doesn’t go far enough. Beyond the Self, beyond the No-Self, beyond anything that is and is not is the One. Surely what we seek is knowledge of That.
You may say that that requires a shift in viewpoint. Yes and no.
No, in the sense that it doesn’t mean abandoning anything. “I am the Self” is true on certain levels. It just isn’t true on the highest level.
What makes it the highest level? We cease to exist as individuals beyond it. I’d say that pretty well closes the book.
Therefore, on the highest level, the eternal nature of the Self is shown to be untrue. The Self is more lasting than the Third-Dimensional world, perhaps, but less lasting than the One. Which alone, we find, is lasting.
The Self is shown to be a sub-set of the One. (1) Only the One exists, wearing all the masks.
And yes, it is a shift in viewpoint. Identification is shifted from the Self to the One that we all are. I am the One wearing a mask, as are you. (Great mask, eh?)
Here’s the opportunity. This world needs unity. It needs oneness. To emphasize knowledge of the One and the oneness of all (which, I acknowledge, the Arcturian Group has been doing for decades) is surely seeing to the requirements of the time.
The need of the hour is for oneness.
For all these reasons, I recommend that we expand the range of our thinking beyond the Self to the One.
Footnotes
(1) I have to keep reminding myself that anything eternal cannot be harmed. I can drop my emphasis on the Self and it doesn’t harm the Self or my relationship to it. The Self is … almost … eternal.
