It’s Our Core Issues – Part 2/2

Alice in Wonderland is all about vasanas
(Concluded from Part 1, yesterday.)
In terms of core issues, my object is to travel as lightly as possible. Divest myself of them by whatever means possible.
Kathleen recommends forgiveness, compassion, and gratitude to accomplish that – transmute them with love. I think she’d probably also recommend invoking the universal law – the Law of Elimination and Sanat Kumara, for example.
Me? Anything. Anything that works to cause the core issues to release their grip on us – which I call reactivity and Kathleen calls imbalance – is gold with me.
Observe them. Awareness will dissolve them and make it impossible for us to keep acting them out.
Breathe into them. Use any breathing technique – annapanna, rebirthing, holotropic breathwork, whatever works.
Tell the truth about them. The no-kidding truth. The truth will set us free.
Take a stand on them and ourselves. We no longer have time for this type of behavior. Express it, once and for all, and let it go.
Then anchor in Eric Berne’s Adult personality state. (1)
What else? Really enquire into it. What original incident is the source of this? Take the first image you get. Be with it. Experience the emotions that come up freely and to completion.
Love it. Draw love up from your heart and fill it with love. Why I don’t do that, I don’t know (stress I think) but that’s the obvious and comprehensive answer.
***
If we look at our vasanas as a composite, our overall strategy in life becomes apparent.
I think of myself as the best-protected armadillo this side of Texas, armed with every available weapons system. No one’s gonna get near me.
But then I realize the cost.
Being this way cuts me off from states of being (love, bliss, peace) which are the real object of all my actions.
It cuts me off from the rock-like stability and strength of peace, the endpoint of all work done with balance.
And it only offers unsatisfying substitutes – possessions for love; escapism for bliss; thrills for peace; etc. Never the real thing.
Our core issues are the only thing about us that’s dead weight. They actually exist only down to a certain level of our field of consciousness.
On Sept. 18, 2018, I went below that level with my awareness and realized that vasanas are only skin deep, so to speak. (2)
Underneath them we’re free, innocent, and pure. I know that for a fact. (3)
Footnotes
(1) Eric Berne founded Transactional Analysis, which held that we behave from one of three “ego” or personality states: Parent, Adult, or Child. Parent is dominating; Adult is balanced, non-reactive; and Child is demanding.
(2) On Sept. 18, 2018, when I dove deeply into my heart, I passed a layer in my field of consciousness where the vasanas were located; I dove well below it, into the seat of the soul and found the Self.
I did remark to myself in passing them by that the vasanas only extend to a certain level of our overall field of consciousness or awareness.
(3) In this same event (Sept. 18, 2018), I experienced the innocence and purity of the natural Self.
